Space Availability - CSM Library

Overview

The Makerspace is the CSM Library’s third service point. As a space, program, and concept the CSM Library Makerspace is designed to encourage and enable innovation outside of the classroom and challenges the traditional notions of what a library can be. In this space students come together to explore their worlds in new ways by designing 3D models, prototyping projects for classes, and participating in workshops that encourage creative thinking and experimentation.

Requests

CSM community members can request to use the Makerspace for organized activities. Priority is given to activities that engage the resources of the space such as the tools and making resources or the technologies like the 3D printers or laser printers.

  • study hall for a CSM group
  • professional development
  • campus wide event
  • Makerspace related instruction for a credit course
  • student club event

Current programming in the Makerspace is available on the library programming calendar.
